Tracy Davidson
I moved to Marysville Wolfe Island to live in a community where the arts are central to a way of life. Marysville is surrounded by nature, farms, and supported by an arts leaning community with great restaurants, stores, festivals and events. It is a self contained piece of paradise where I am inspired to create. I work in clay, oil, watercolour and encaustics and produce sculptures, functional wares, paintings and drawings that are often both gestural and figurative. They are inspired by people and animals or morphed images of both.
I like to work both big and small creating functional items such as espresso ‘chicken mugs’, pet portrait plates, decorative items such as maquettes (5 - 8 inches) or larger sculptures (2 - 4 feet), ceramic tiles and paintings of various sizes from small to large (4 x 4 inches - 4 x 4 feet) in encaustics and oils. |
