Currently residing in Kingston, Ontario and working at a dairy farm here on Wolfe Island, Kat’s hobby as an artist began to develop when she was just an infant presented with watercolour paints at the kitchen table. That early introduction to painting as a form of personal expression, and a life surrounded by pets are at the heart of Kat’s work. The physical beauty of animals is her key source of inspiration. Four years studying art at Holy Cross Secondary School and a year at Sheridan College helped Kate refine her techniques in various media. Her passion for animals and being outdoors make every day on the Island a joy.
