Andia was born in Kingston, Ontario and has no formal art education but her pieces
have been bought by the University of Ottawa, Hotel Dieu, and private collectors across the country. You can find her at local art festivals, in showcases, and in magazines. She often visited Wolfe Island during her childhood to stay with family and friends and it has left a lasting impact on her art. The subjects of her paintings are often influenced by her love of nature and by the people she comes across in her day to day life. Her style embraces the spontaneous aspects of painting rather than getting bogged down in trying to add realism to every detail. Acrylic is the perfect medium for adding this vibrancy very quickly so she can get her ideas down in the moment. |
