Colour relationships, spaces and the stories paintings can tell are what drives me to paint. My bathroom sink, dish rack, chesterfield and chairs have all played a part in my work this winter. Even preparation for an apple pie that didn’t get made was subject to an oil painting. Another favourite series that I love to do is outdoor painting of places around the island. Several new commissioned portraits and two works featuring an islander completed the winter months. This summer, look for me painting around the village and along the country roads.
