heidi mack
Heidi Mack has been photographing the magic she sees and feels in the world since she was given a camera in 1985 and left on her first of many international trips to west Africa. These days, Heidi's most aligned artistic passion is black and white candid street photography. Most recently she has been "shooting from the hip" (on her iphone) capturing the humanness, simplicity and beauty of ordinary everyday moments. Further artistic endeavours include abstract colours and angles and bits of the natural world taken in colour photography, drawing playful expressive cartoons and painting with acrylics, often using her photos as inspiration. Heidi showed her art for the first time in Chelsea, Quebec in 2006 and has been curated into local art shows, has photos and art featured in and on books, and has won photo contests along her way. Heidi splits her time between an old house on Wolfe Island and a little red row house in Kingston, Ontario.
